Although I have always been interested in the activities listed in my profile, I never acted on them on a continuous basis. Recently I have felt that it is high time that I do. It is time for me to stop the procrastination, stop the excuses, start enjoying the things that interest me and stick to it! So I am on a quest to do as much as I can and to write about my experiences along the way.
In the past week I have searched for the perfect Swimming - Trainer (will enter name when I find him/her), joined two great Hiking and Kayaking groups, a perfect Health Club (Reebok Sports Club), and joined a walking group. I will be searching for a great nutritionist (that will take my insurance) and watch what I eat.
The reason for all this?
To finally act on all that I have wanted to learn more about, meet new people, and above all else...become healthy and ACTIVE.

" THE RECEIVING PRAYER"
During a search through some very interesting blogs, I came across a kindred spirit so to speak. She spoke of procrastination, stress in ones life, sadness and anxiety. At the end she placed the "Receiving Prayer" that was written in Kristiane Schulls website.
I have to say that the prayer hit home with me. It describes how I feel at the moment. Even though I, like so many New Yorkers, have stress , experience sadness, and disappointment from time to time, one should be grateful for the life you have.
This was slammed home earlier today....
Early this morning I went to the Bronx to look at a job site that I was going to bid on. The owner of the adjacent building (who lived in the building) for one reason or another has not had electricity for more than 5 years. My client and the construction company adjacent to the building was giving him a connection to their electricity. I could not imagine living like that and instantly became grateful for what I have. Also, in a matter of 1 hour, I saw so many people walking the street who looked either homeless, under the influence or both.
Hence the prayer:
"I trust that I am ready to receive all the radiance and bounty and love that is gracing my life now. I accept that I deserve it with ease and grace. I trust that I am worthy of receiving it and enjoying it. I receive it with gratitude, care, grace, appreciation, integrity, honor, and humility. I am in receipt of what I love because I have called for it and I have opened myself to receive it. I enjoy, savor, love, and share what I have and what I am receiving. I inspire others with my ability to receive and give lavishly, opulently and joyously. I am held in the arms of God and can trust that God is with me at all times, guiding my path, coaxing me to open and receive more. It is God's joy when we open and receive what we love. I recognize and accept every little gift that comes with joy and gratitude. I am in the flow of receiving and sharing at all times. My life is a blessing, thank you God! "
I am so very grateful...
